Pro Golfer Saru (1985)

A young boy named Sarumaru lives in the countryside with his mother and four brothers and sisters. He plays amateur golf for money at a local course, using a driver he made himself and calling himself a "professional golfer." His skills attract the attention of Mr. X, a secretive figure in the golf world, who sends his subordinates to try to dominate Sarumaru. The narrative follows the intense competition between Sarumaru and Mr. X's team of golfers.
