Ep. 1: Han Fei bids farewell to his teacher and brother before returning to the Han State.

Han Fei recounts a recurring dream to his teacher, Xun Kuang, in which he hears a lingering song despite being unable to recall the details. He decides to return to his home, the Han State, and says goodbye to Xun Kuang. Before departing, he informs his junior brother, Li Si, of his plans. Li Si, acknowledging his lesser talent, chooses to travel to the strongest of the Seven States, Qin, noting that they will be rivals upon their next meeting. During his journey back, Han Fei consumes a significant amount of alcohol.
