Zilu accepts responsibility, while Zifang defends their actions as a moral duty against injustice, citing Confucius' teachings. Old Master Xunzi intervenes, accusing Fu Nian of betraying children Ziming and Ziyu to protect the school. Concurrently, Li Si secures assurances from Gongshu Chou regarding the Mirage's readiness. The Mohists struggle to manually decipher the Black Dragon Scroll, realizing the process is too slow. Consequently, Zifang proposes that Dao Zhi steal a copper disc containing the code key from Li Si's headquarters in Shanghai.
