Yan Dan admits he is Yue-er's father and faked his death at Wei Zhuang's hands before collapsing. Mohist followers worry for their leader, but Xuenu reassures them by stating Duanmu Rong survives despite severe wounds. Hei Qilin secretly overhears this revelation. Elder Xiaoyao Zi of the Toaist school examines Yan Dan and identifies a fatal, incurable Yin Yang affliction known as the Fearsome Curse of the Six Souls. As Confucian scholars deliberate on the implications, Mohist leaders emerge to pay respects to Tianming.
