Exhausted, Tianming listens to teacher Xu describe Sun Wu, also known as Xu Rulin, and his work Sun Tzu's Art of War. Xu mentions the Pheasant school before Tianming falls asleep. Elsewhere, Li Si advises Ying Zheng to focus on the Confucian school, which supports the Mohists. The Mohist leaders are currently traveling to Qilu, the territory of the Confucian school. During their journey, their carriage catches fire. Tianming mistakenly uses water to put out the flames, which generates smoke. This smoke alerts the Qin troops and raises doubts regarding Tianming's suitability for his role.
