Mousse successfully captures the correct target and employs water from the Jusenkyo hot spring of the drowned duck to transform Akane into a duck. Ranma brings the duck home and nearly agrees to marry it, mistakenly believing it to be Akane. The two rivals engage in combat over Shampoo. During the fight, Shampoo provides Mousse with weapons that ultimately cause him more harm than good, complicating his efforts against Ranma.
