A gambling king currently occupies the Tendo dojo due to a debt Ranma incurred ten years ago during a game of Old Maid. Despite being a poor gambler himself, Ranma manages to win back the dojo. He achieves this victory by cheating during a rematch of the same card game against the gambling king. This sequence of events resolves the long-standing debt and restores control of the residence to Ranma and his family.
