Rem falls unconscious after being struck by Subaru, triggering a dream about a past event she and Ram wish to forget, a sin for which Rem believes she is unforgivable. Upon waking, she confesses to Subaru that she has repeated this same transgression. As the trio faces imminent capture by the Ulgarm pack, Subaru makes a strategic decision to separate from the group. He runs to attract the attention of the pursuing enemies, creating an opportunity for Ram and Rem to escape the dangerous situation.
