During the Kendo Regional Tournament, Junki secures a narrow victory that deepens his insecurities following the previous battle with Muda. Akira confronts him, questioning if he has truly reached his limits. A sudden blackout occurs, allowing Muda to absorb energy from the industrial area and transform hideously. Reideen intercepts the mutated creature, but Muda delivers a devastating strike that causes Reideen to lose its glow.
