During a summer night, a power outage strikes Tokyo while Junki receives an urgent call from Maedasaki reporting a giant mechanical beast in Tokyo Bay. Amidst the twilight, the golden titan Reideen engages in combat with Muda along the coastline. Following a series of attacks by Reideen, Muda vanishes into the shadows. However, mysterious aliens observe the golden titan through a monitor screen from the darkness. As the battle concludes, a new trap begins to close in on Junki and Reideen, setting the stage for further conflict.
