Ep. 5: Alicia faces bullying accusations while Henri supports her debate victory and invites her to the King's tea party.

Alicia becomes the target of student hostility for allegedly bullying Liz Cather. At Roana, Rebecca informs Alicia that villagers hold strong negative views toward outsiders but are gradually improving their outlook. At home, Alicia’s older brother Henri validates her debate performance against Liz and questions the automatic support Liz receives, then gives Alicia an invitation to the King's tea party. During the event, Alicia challenges Liz’s perspective, yet Liz proposes a viable solution to a neighboring country’s economic problems. After the party, the Duke escorts Alicia away for a conversation. Later, while riding in a carriage with Henri and Gill, Alicia suspects Liz uses magic to subtly manipulate people. Before she can investigate further, Alicia and Gill are ambushed and kidnapped.
