A ruined future Nerima serves as the backdrop, marked by a photon energy disaster that supposedly caused widespread destruction, though its truth remains uncertain. At the heart of the ruined area stands a photon research facility tower. Z-chan and Gre-chan reside in the Shutter District, located at the tower's base, in a home they built from salvaged materials called Photon House. Despite the absence of the once-present photon energy, they still utilize it efficiently to power their living space, while the world is now influenced by Getter Rays descending from space.
