Dusk, an assassin ordered to eliminate MegaMan, hesitates because the Crest of Duo identifies him as Lan's ally. Concurrently, a bank robber named Kawase, who resembles Dusk, utilizes Asteroid SwordMan for his criminal activities. Lan and Dingo step in to stop the threat. Dr. Wily presents Dusk with a chance to live independently by providing a SynchroChip. Using this device, Dusk performs a CrossFuse to rescue the boys, thereby choosing a path outside of his previous life as a hired killer.
