A mysterious melody in Echo Ridge puts residents to sleep, prompting Mega Man to confront EM Wave Human Lyra Note. After defeating her, he frees Sonia from her control. Lyra agrees to cease world domination and only control Sonia during sleep. Meanwhile, Copper suspects Geo is linked to Mega Man and trails him through the city. Concurrently, an EM virus merges with an angry artist, causing a rampage at a museum. Copper detains Geo in his squad car to handle the threat alone, leaving the hero confined while the crisis unfolds.
