Momotaro Tsurugi enrolls at Otokojuku, where he encounters the other First Year students. Before entering the school, they must complete a physical test by navigating a wooden maze. Disgusted by the provided food, Togashi Gengi persuades Tazawa Ippei, Matsuo Taio, Tsubakiyama Kiyomi, and Momotaro to escape to his uncle's restaurant. Only Togashi and Tazawa reach the destination, but they are subsequently captured. As a result, they are subjected to punishment using the Otokojuku Spirit Discipline Rod.
