Ep. 12: Memempu learns her true nature while Gagumber rescues her from the Shibito Boss.
The Shibito cause destruction in the colony as Muro attacks Memempu, intending to kill the rainbow children before the Boss intervenes. The Boss explains that rainbow children are genetically altered beings connected to the world, making animus harmless to them, but the Shibito view them as threats to global balance. Although Gagumber is not Memempu’s biological father, he treats her as his own daughter. A bot battle ensues between Gagumber and the Boss, allowing Gagumber to rescue Memempu despite heavy damage. Memempu offers to surrender, but Gagumber refuses to abandon her. The Boss retreats, permitting them to stay together. They proceed to the tower, intercepting Muro and driving him off. Memempu glimpses a white-haired girl in a wheelchair being taken into a vault. Following a ceremony honoring their actions, the group flees the colony as wanted criminals, continuing their journey.
