Kyo and Kyoshiro fight intensely until Kyo breaks Kyoshiro's sword and demands surrender. Yukimura Sanada, Sasuke Sarutobi, and Saizo Kirigakure arrive at the scene, but Sakuya interrupts by creating a meteor shower. Four years later, Kyoshiro encounters Yuki, and they are attacked by a demon who was a veteran from the war four years ago. The demon overpowers Kyoshiro, prompting Kyo to take control of the body. Kyo defeats the demon thoroughly before Kyoshiro reclaims his body. He then continues his journey accompanied by Yuki.
