Hanzawa's wife falls ill because of a curse cast by Erika. Mikado is aware that he caused this situation, but his conscience prevents him from revealing the truth to Hanzawa. Meanwhile, Erika and Sakaki break into the COOLEAN facility. They restrain Mikado and demand to know why he contacted the police. Overwhelmed by the interrogation and her own actions, Erika loses control and curses her own existence, resulting in her poisoning herself.
