Guided by her mother, Erika and Sakaki successfully flee from Sensei. Her mother reveals she had been quietly preparing for this escape for a long time, allowing Erika to discover hidden aspects of her parent's character. Once safe, Erika contacts Mikado and his group to express her desire for Sensei to cease all their current activities, not just those targeting her personally. Mikado agrees to assist in this endeavor. However, Hiyakawa appears unable to comprehend the motivations and emotions driving Erika and Mikado's decision to intervene against Sensei's operations.
