Ep. 1: Average high schooler Kouta finds purpose through childhood plushies and a popular classmate's lost item.

Hasegawa Kouta is a completely average second-year high school student who feels something is missing from his life and believes a shining school existence is impossible for someone like him. While out with friends, he helps a missing little girl find her mother and receives a Pompompurin sticker in return. This act triggers memories of his childhood love for Pompompurin, particularly a giant stuffed toy gifted by his beloved grandmother, which he had to discard due to peer pressure. Later, Kouta discovers a lost My Melody keychain at school and realizes it likely belongs to Mizuno Ryu, a flashy and popular student, raising questions about the connection between these items.
