Ep. 8: Bam starts a basketball club, faces rejection, and joins a rival team plot.
Aired on May 22, 2006

Tenma becomes inspired to play basketball after reading a manga, catching the attention of Satsuki Tawaraya who wishes to establish a girls' team. Satsuki secretly admires Asou but receives tactical advice from the nurse Son Ko, based on The Art of War, to pursue her feelings. Although Tenma lacks active playing time, she is removed from the squad under the guise of special training that ends only when a teammate tires. To avoid disappointing Yakumo, who provides daily lunchboxes, Tenma remains inactive, leading to weight gain and depression while sitting on a swing. Eventually, Tougou, Harima, and Imadori approach her to form a new team aimed at defeating the existing girls' squad.
