He encounters Yakumo, who cosplays as Osamu Tezuka at the Tokiha Boarding House exhibit and urges him to continue drawing. Back in class, Harima learns of Karasuma’s birthday and attempts to disrupt Tenma’s cake presentation by feigning a fall. The spilled cake actually belonged to Yoshidayama, who previously won a sumo bathing suit contest, so Tenma gives him her own dessert. She then retrieves Karasuma’s cake, which Harima had previously tripped over, revealing the name Harima. To resolve the issue, Tenma cuts the cake into a crescent shape, leaving only the letters MA, and consumes the remainder. Later, Karasuma notices a photo of himself with a faint smile in Tenma’s possession and thanks her for the day.

Exhausted Harima sleeps while Yakumo prepares to kiss him before Akira intervenes dramatically.

Harima fell asleep after writing two hundred pages, while Sawachika and six others, including Tenma, dressed as musketeers. The audience suggested Yakumo kiss Harima, who was stressed. Yakumo leaned in to kiss him, but Akira rappelled down, kissed Harima, and climbed back up. The play concluded with the princess living happily with a spy, earning audience pride. The band performed on stage for the closing ceremony. Harima was excluded from the celebration and crucified on the ceiling as punishment for his absence from the final event.

The narrative then shifts to the characters' lives outside of school, highlighting their various part-time jobs. Harima applies to an animation studio to improve his manga artist skills. Meanwhile, Sarah and Asou work at a Chinese restaurant; when their boss leaves because his wife is having a baby, Sarah takes over as shopkeeper despite Asou's objections. At the end of the day, the boss returns and regretfully explains that his wife did not give birth because it was a false alarm.

Tenma becomes inspired to play basketball after reading a manga, catching the attention of Satsuki Tawaraya who wishes to establish a girls' team. Although Tenma lacks active playing time, she is removed from the squad under the guise of special training that ends only when a teammate tires. To avoid disappointing Yakumo, who provides daily lunchboxes, Tenma remains inactive, leading to weight gain and depression while sitting on a swing. Eventually, Tougou, Harima, and Imadori approach her to form a new team aimed at defeating the existing girls' squad.

At a restaurant, Nara, Nishimoto, and Yoshidayama complain about their inability to find dates. They observe Harry and Togo inviting two girls to a party. Kenji pursues her upon realizing the damage. The chief editor comments on Karasuma’s good friends. The episode concludes with Harima and Tenma reconciling and restoring their friendship.
