Gene has been poisoned by the Kei Pirates, putting his life in immediate danger. The pirates propose a trade, offering an antidote only if Gene surrenders the Outlaw Star. Gene refuses this exchange, choosing not to hand over the vessel. Consequently, Melfina takes it upon herself to find a method to cure his poisoning. She must locate a solution to heal him before the group is forced to confront the full might of the Kei Pirates' forces.
