Two millennia after Bahamut’s sealing, bounty hunter Favaro Leone evades disgraced knight Kaisar Lidfald in Wytearp. After killing a demon-summoning criminal and celebrating at a tavern, Favaro boasts about reaching Helhiem. A mysterious woman demands directions, but their conversation is interrupted by the victim’s younger brother. Favaro underestimates the summoned demon and is overwhelmed, only to be rescued by the woman who displays demonic abilities. While Favaro defeats the human criminal, he is knocked unconscious by falling debris as the woman approaches. He awakens at an inn, believing the event was a dream, until he discovers he has grown a tail and is labeled a demon.
