Nemumu requests that the guild promote Light to C-rank, but the request is rejected because Light was only recently promoted to D-rank. To improve their standing, Light accepts a quest to capture adventurer killers who exclusively target humans. During this mission, Light, Nemumu, and Gold sense a strange presence in the room. Suddenly, a battered Miya falls through a portal that opens in the ceiling. This sequence of events follows the initial denial and the subsequent strange occurrence involving the portal and Miya's arrival.
