Hiiragi Seiichi, a bullied and overweight student, is left behind when his classmates are summoned to a new world by a deity. The god grants him a unique skill and transports him to a forest. While foraging, Seiichi consumes evolution fruits and recovery potions stolen from monkeys. A monkey attack triggers an evolution process that thins his body and eliminates his odor, allowing him to defeat the beast and gain new abilities. Using insights from a clever monkey, he undergoes eight more evolutionary stages within five months. Saria, a lady gorilla, challenges him to combat. Although Seiichi fails to defeat her, Saria admires his strength and takes him as her husband.
