Summer vacation begins as Hayato prepares to travel via the Tokaido Shinkansen to the Nagoya branch. His mission is to fill in for Ryuuji, who is currently injured. During the journey, Commander Izumi unexpectedly boards the train with Hayato. Although Hayato is uncomfortable being alone with Izumi, the commander initiates a conversation about his past. Izumi shares surprising stories from his history that involve Hokuto. This encounter provides insight into Izumi's background while Hayato travels to his temporary assignment in Nagoya.
