While photographing trains in Mishima, Hayato spots the 500 TYPE EVA, a retired Shinkansen model that should no longer be operational. Excited by this impossible sighting, he pursues the train and discovers a futuristic city nestled in the mountains. He is subsequently approached by the Horaki Sisters, who reveal the location's name to be Tokyo-3. This encounter introduces Hayato to an inconceivable urban environment far removed from his expectations, marking the beginning of his involvement with the mysterious train and the hidden metropolis.
