Sonic fails to appear for a scheduled date with Amy, causing her to become enraged. She subsequently embarks on a car journey with Sam Speed, who happens to be visiting at that moment. During their trip, they encounter a mech controlled by Eggman, which is designed to liberate him from imprisonment due to his past deeds. In a separate event, Cream and Cheese find an unknown individual in the garden of Chris' house. This narrative serves as a prequel to Sonic Battle.
