Sonic promises a date with Amy, but does not show up no matter how much time passes. Amy is furious and ends up going on a car trip with Sam Speed, who just happened to visit. However, this is where they encounter an Eggman mech that intends to free Eggman, who was imprisoned for his previous actions.
