A long period of conflict among star systems has led to widespread war across nearly 200 planets. A fragile peace now exists in the Astragius Galaxy. Chirico Cuvie, a pilot of powered armor in a special forces unit, is abruptly moved to a group conducting a covert and unlawful operation to obtain classified military data from their own armed forces. He is then abandoned in space to die by those who are uncertain of his allegiance and wish to hide their actions. Managing to survive, he becomes a target for both the people who betrayed him and the military's intelligence branch. His only lead in uncovering their hidden plans is a woman whose identity remains unknown to him. The conspirators will take extreme measures to protect their undisclosed goals.
