During a global cold war between Ostania and Westalis, a spy known as "Twilight" is assigned a secret mission to monitor the actions of Ostania's influential political figure, Donovan Desmond. The operation requires assembling a fake family within a week to gain access to exclusive events linked to Desmond's son's school. The spy assumes the identity of a psychiatrist named Loid Forger and gathers a family. One of them, Anya, possesses the unusual ability to read minds, and the other, Yor, is an assassin. Each member hides their true identity for personal reasons, and they begin living together under false pretenses. As they navigate this unusual situation, their efforts may determine the future of international peace.
