The Earth Federation exploits the Amaterasu incident to execute a massive coup within the Kingdom, demanding the vessel's surrender. Facing certain defeat, Sinon devises an alternative political strategy. While the Amaterasu crew escapes via shuttle and Dita broadcasts the Earth Alliance's assault on the guard ship, Shimei Yuuki remains aboard. As the sole Kibi commissioned officer present, Yuuki stays behind to guarantee the success of Sinon's final plan.
