High school student Kaidou Haru arrives in Canada after hearing false news that his biological mother Haruko is in critical condition. There, he meets a young boy named Ren, whom his mother instructs him to care for as a new brother. Haru is forced to spend the summer with Ren, leading to daily conflicts as the boy refuses to listen to anyone. Over time, Ren gradually begins to like Haru, and Haru starts to adore Ren in return. As their relationship develops through these challenges, the two boys make a significant promise to each other.
