Ep. 17: Leafa teaches Kirito to fly and plans ascent to World Tree summit

Leafa, a Sylph player, expresses gratitude to Kirito for rescuing her from Salamander attackers and instructs him on proper flight techniques. The pair journey to the Sylph Territory, known as Sylvein, where they encounter Leafa’s party member, Recon. Afterward, they visit an inn to discuss strategies for reaching the top of the World Tree. Impressed by Kirito’s resolve, Leafa agrees to assist him and arranges to meet him at the inn the following day. Upon logging out, it is revealed that Leafa is actually Suguha. In a separate scene, Asuna is shown trapped inside a massive birdcage located at the World Tree, under the custody of the Gamemaster, Oberon the Fairy King.
