Ep. 1: Sorey and allies travel to Rolance, where Rose handles rogue threats and he trains against Malevolence.

Sorey, accompanied by Rose and the Sparrowfeathers, journeys toward the new land of Rolance. During the trip, a group of rogues attempts to sell Rose stolen herbs. Rose quickly identifies the deception and easily defeats the men when they issue threats. Sorey observes her actions and is impressed by her sharp business acumen. That night, Sorey continues his training with Lailah, focusing on recognizing and stopping the Malevolence. He works to hone his skills in preparation for confronting the powerful mass of Malevolence known as "The Lord of Calamity." Eventually, the party arrives in the commercial city of Lastonbell, where they meet Mayvin the storyteller.
