Rose learns of Prince Konan’s location and readies herself for vengeance against the imperial prince who killed her Windriders comrades and foster parent Brad. Meanwhile, Sergei informs Sorey about the unending rain, prompting him to travel to Pendrago, the capital of Rolance, to investigate the phenomenon. Sorey asks Rose to accompany him, but she refuses. He then instructs Mikleo to follow Rose and Dezel. Mikleo agrees and sets out with Edna to monitor Rose’s progress as she begins her journey.
