Sorey and his companions travel north to locate the Lord of Calamity. Alisha and Rose commit to serving as his squires, continuing their armatization practice with Edna and Dezel. Sorey reviews the second Celestial Record provided by Lailah, discovering entries regarding the northern region. This area contains the wellspring of a creative power, with earthpulses linking the world to it. However, the extreme north does not effectively spread Malevolence. Sorey questions why the Lord of Calamity would choose this location. Suddenly, Malevolence overflowing from the north attacks Sorey and the group.
