Tanaka must deliver a worksheet to Ohta, who is absent for the first time. Because Tanaka has always been carried to Ohta’s house, he does not remember the location. After Echizen scolds him for lacking knowledge about his friend, the two set out together to find Ohta’s residence. Ohta returns to school the following day with a sprained ankle that requires a week to heal. While classmates speculate about who will care for Tanaka, Tanaka asserts that he will be the one to look after Ohta.
