An office worker receives a large dresser from her mother, which proves difficult to accommodate in her small apartment. One night, after drinking and falling asleep, she wakes to strange noises and witnesses a childlike figure eating rice crackers. This marks the beginning of her life with six spirit children. The project was part of an initiative funded by the Agency of Cultural Affairs of Japan, which allocated 214 million yen to the "Young Animator Training Project." The project was managed by the Japan Animation Creators Association (JaniCA), which collaborated with four studios to produce four original 23-minute anime episodes, including opening and ending sequences.
