Naofumi and his companions remain aggressive while trapped within the Pope's Great Cathedral. However, the location's sacred subspace neutralizes his Curse Shield, preventing them from gaining the upper hand. Desperate for an advantage, Naofumi attempts to utilize a newly unlocked Curse Shield. This action provokes the wrath of a dragon, which threatens to completely consume his mind. The group finds themselves one step away from victory but hindered by the cathedral's unique properties and the psychological danger posed by the dragon's influence.
