Noelle suffers a strange nightmare while Mikael studies angelic transformation across the street. Raphael praises Mikael but warns that becoming an angel requires leaving Earth and losing all contact with loved ones. After Raphael vanishes, Mikael finds Noelle at the park, where she interacts with the invisible Raphael, causing him distress. He masks his unease until Noelle leaves to make jasmine jelly, at which point he lashes out at Raphael, who fails to reappear. Feeling isolated, Mikael packs his belongings and declares he will not return to his duties. However, upon Noelle’s return with a large plate of jelly, Raphael materializes again. During their approach, Papa slips, causing a fall. Raphael attempts to catch Noelle, but she passes through him, highlighting his intangibility and his deep sensitivity to this limitation. Later, Mikael and Raphael discuss his fears regarding angelhood and his commitment to protecting Noelle.
