Jomy remains hopeful regarding the future of the Mu on Nazca, but Physis anticipates approaching misfortune. Keith arrives on the planet only to be shot down, captured, and interrogated by the Mu, while his inexperienced crew abandons him and flees. To Physis's surprise, Keith shares the same vision of Terra that she experiences. However, they are unable to uncover further details because of the strong mental block present in Keith's mind, which prevents deeper exploration of this shared psychic connection.
