A time-traveling detective named Rock retrieves Astro, Uran, and Black Jack to journey to 15th-century Silverland. Their mission is to save Prince Sapphire, who was injured by a previous time traveler, while also hunting the evil sorcerer Gor. Upon arrival, Black Jack refuses to operate until he receives the treasury key, later discovering the patient is actually a princess. As Gor attempts to seize the throne, Astro battles his monster army. Rock, disguised as the surgeon, captures the villain, revealing him to be Osamu Tezuka. Black Jack performs the life-saving surgery, allowing the princess to reveal her true identity to her kingdom.
