Atom accompanies Dr. Ochanomizu to observe a robot-dog contest. During the event, he observes that inferior or less advanced robot-dogs are often abandoned and left behind by their owners in favor of more beautiful and accomplished models. This realization causes Atom to feel deep sympathy for these forgotten stray robot-dogs who suffer from neglect due to their perceived lack of value compared to the superior units showcased at the competition.
