Extraterrestrial beings intend to gather intelligence regarding Earth and consequently kidnap Dr. Ochanomizu. Atom undertakes a critical mission to rescue the abducted scientist. During this operation, he travels to the Earth Defense Base located on the moon. However, the alien forces successfully destroy this lunar facility, complicating the rescue effort and threatening the safety of the base personnel.
