Kyosuke attempts to rescue Kasumi from Kirihara Corporation but they are separated during an attack. Shiro proceeds to the base core to destroy the Flicker Searcher. Kyosuke encounters Dr. Richard Vincent, the Hospital director, who transforms into the winged mutant SoulCrusher. During their intense fight, Vincent reveals he is Kyosuke's father. He explains that his wife, Tsubaki Tokisaka, betrayed him to the Beta Applicon Project before giving birth to Kyosuke and Runa. This disclosure exposes the deep familial connections and past betrayals driving the conflict within the facility as the battle continues.
