Following his conflict with the SoulCrusher, Kyosuke loses a wing and plummets toward Earth. He is teleported into a floating fortress where he encounters a Flicker named Megumi. Kyosuke begins to trust and develop feelings for her. The fortress also houses a mutant named Zabo, who remains in suspended animation. Eventually, Megumi reveals her true form and expresses intense anger toward Kyosuke. The narrative focuses on whether Kyosuke can defeat her in this new confrontation within the mysterious structure.
