While cleaning outdoors, Hiroyuki encounters Serika Kurusugawa, the only member of the Occult Research Society. She asks for his assistance in collecting ingredients for a magic potion, then provides him with a black magic book and invites him to a ceremony. Hiroyuki fails to attend, choosing instead to go to a games arcade with Shiho. Serika waits alone after school, but Akari spots her and goes to locate Hiroyuki.
