Ryuuji realizes Taiga requires his assistance in approaching Yuusaku before she will aid him with Minori. During basketball practice, they attempt to remove Yuusaku's partner using a ball, but Taiga is knocked out instead. She subsequently bakes cookies for Yuusaku but falls down the stairs, scattering them out the window. Ryuuji catches her and praises the cookies, encouraging her to bake again. Their frequent time together leads classmates to believe they are dating, causing Taiga to rage and cause chaos in the classroom. The following day, Taiga clarifies the misunderstanding and confesses her feelings to Yuusaku, who declines her romantic advance and wishes to remain friends.
